Macs Equipment Ltd was incorporated on 24 August 2011 and the directors are Ian McNeill and Graeme & Karen McNeill based in Auckland, New Zealand.
Our customer mission statement is very straight forward: "Good quality products at a fair price and delivered to our customers on time".
Graeme and Ian McNeill grew up in Auckland and developed an early interest in old Fords back when our Scout Group acquired a Model A Ford pickup. We shared the driving and mechanical chores on the truck amongst the members of the Venturer Scout Unit and drove it all over. This quickly deteriorated into a succession of Ford V8 Coupes and Sedans which we have learned to manage with our forgiving wives.
Ian left school and followed a predominantly product sales based career spending 5 years on the road as a rep before various middle management roles. He then worked for Blackwoods Paykels (similar to Graingers in the USA) in a product management role which included visiting Industry Fairs in Cologne and Taiwan and marketing quality engineering brands to the NZ market including Stahlwillie, Lincoln Electric, Vice Grip and Channellock. During this period he attained a Post Grad Diploma in Marketing before taking up a new role as NZ Manager with a fastening company with a multi site branch network. He left this business in 2010 to set up Macs Equipment. He currently owns a 34 Ford Sedan and 56 Fairlane Victoria and married 30+ years with 2 sons.
Graeme left school and completed an Advanced Trade Certificate in Electrical Engineering over a period of 4 years which had him undertaking electrical work on commercial construction sites and manufacturing plants. He then worked for NZ’s largest manufacturer; Fisher & Paykel and supervised the maintenance team that maintained the production lines and built prototype machines in the plant. Then followed a period off the tools in a role as distribution manager for a third part logistics company before going full time into his own business fabricating hot rods and new patterns for the production of custom hot rod products, see: www.macsspeed.com
Graeme currently owns a Model A Pickup with o/h valve conversion and recently adapted Hillborn injection set up and a 53 Lincoln 2 Door sedan. Married 30+ years with a son & daughter.
